Facebook gives Messenger a Material Design makeover on Android

Affirming reports from recently, which talked about an expected patch up of the Facebook Messenger application for Android gadgets, Facebook today started revealing another, Material Design-styled adaptation of Messenger on Android to all clients around the world. The overhauled application now highlights a brilliant blue route bar at the highest point of the screen with catches to get to visit, gatherings, settings and then some. In the interim, set up of the base blue bar with independent catches for creating new talks, inquiry and making telephone calls, there's currently another drifting activity catch that shows up rather at the base right of the screen.

This button, when pressed, lets you take those common actions, including search, adding contacts, making a call, writing a message, and so on.

Material Design, by method for foundation, is the outline dialect that Google initially presented in 2014. The thought was to give Android applications a more all inclusive look-and-feel, by method for different rules that empowered strong hues, cleaned movement illustrations and activitys, purposeful utilization of white spaces and that's only the tip of the iceberg.

That being said, the Messenger for Android makeover itself is not overly dramatic, as it doesn’t present an array of new features or functionality for end users to learn. It’s more of a visual overhaul to the app with subtler changes that may even go unnoticed by irregular Messenger users.

The update was first announced on Facebook itself by Messenger head, David Marcus.

Addressing why the update took so long to arrive, he wrote that: “Any major redesign of an essential app used by hundreds of millions of people around the world is painstakenly [sic] hard, and that’s why we took every precaution to ensure you’d truly enjoy this evolution."
